before people start comenting that this is the totally wrong place for this post ,and i dont even know if peopel even vizit the medieval 2 total war forum!!! so ill post here!!!
steam has a M2 total war offer today and i would like to buy it( its something like 2 and a half pounds or euros or something) and i would like to know if steam will update my game if i buy it through them!! any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Changing Government type?

Well I'm Austria (as usual) but I'm not sure how to change my govt. type. Is it even possible to have a govt. switch without losing soldiers?

Stuff since 1.0 Still broken

So I haven't played really since 1.2 (and only tried one or two games then) So basically release. Stuff that I reported back in 1.0 is still unresolved.

For example. Retreating is still broken. retreating armies make the stupidest decisions. I attacked a prussian army raiding my farm from one of my cities. My army (being %*#% austrians) lost to the badass prussians who would fight to 30% without breaking, when it retreated instead of going to the cannon fortressed city...

what does this mean

Ok for those of you excited about the new east elite troops DLC mmurray821 made a official time frame for it :) i can't wait for "soon" to get here.

Actually i find closing that forum topic to be unfair to us fan's. everyone knows CA won't respond to most those "TELL US CA" post but it brings fan opinions on what they would like to see happen on that particular topic.They might be negative or positive opinion's or a mix of both, but they atleast...

Unstable game

So ever since the games been out the game still crashs every so often, alot of the problems with the last patch have been fixed but still ever since empire has been released every half hr or so on a massive battlefield the game stops and boom crashs. the same happens to my roomate on his computer do you guys know why the game is so unstable i can barely even play it. luckly i like medieval enough that that keeps me ocupied when i feel like i wanna chuck unstable empire at the wall.

How to prevent rebellion?

Ok well im playing on hard/hard and I'm pretty much screwed im being attacked by the Ottomans, Prussia, and Poland-Lithuania (I'm Austria) and then i took 2 ottoman towns in eastern Europe but both broke out in rebellion even when i exempted the region from taxes..is there any way i can prevent rebellions without losing a shedload of money? cus i am only making 1000 a turn and thats supposed to stop 2 rebellions and 3 enemies on 3 different...

Battle bug - Limbered artillery invulnerable to gunfire

Like the title says. I've been noticing something fishy for a while and now that I fired on a limbered unit of artillery at point blank range with light infantry and killed no one, I think its confirmed

There ought to be a way to end a war started by an attack on a protectorate that brings peace to the protectorate also

When a protectorate nation is attacked the aggresor nation should not be surprised when the protector nation enters the war.

This can lead to pretty devastating losses for the aggressor nation.

When the protector nation offers peace there should be an option to make as a condition that the aggresor nation also makes peace with the protectorate nation. The protectorate shouldn't neccesarily have any say in the matter.

As it stands now the protector can beat...
