Posts: 4194 10/11/08 15:28:00 Sergeant	Tags : None I was just wondering which Bond actors you like the most and what Bond movie you like most? For me it is Pierce Brosnan and Golden Eye.. I havent seen every movie though, so im not a huge Bond fan.. I just think Brosnan is the real Bond, he just looks like one. I remember the Golden Eye game in 1996 on the N64, it was the best game i have ever played in that time! Thats what i thought back then! :D I have many funny memories in the middle of the 90s, playing Golden Eye with friends on multiplayer I think Duke Nukem, and Turok was two other fun games on the Nintendo64 that could play multiplayer on anyway. Posts: 10435 10/11/08 16:35:02 Tribune	My favourite Bond movie would be You Only Live Twice. I just love the Oriental setting and Akiko Wakabayashi is the most beautiful Bond girl ever. The best James Bond actor would be Sean Connery, but Timothy Dalton comes in a close second. I liked the way he played the more maverick secret agent and both films he appeared in were highly entertaining. Daniel Craig is a very promising Bond, but it's hard to judge him based on just one movie. When I got my Ph.D., my colleagues from work gave me a James Bond boxset with all Bond movies!

Posts: 783 10/11/08 16:43:32	Timothy Dolton FTW! He was also in the best film, License to kill, and he has the most 'British super spy' face EVER! I like license to kill because, unlike most of the other James Bond film, was not far fetched and was perfectly believable. There is not one thing in that film that wouldn't happen, all the gadgets we real, and he got hurt! In just about every other James Bond film it takes a lot more than one punch to knock him out or break his nose. But in LTK he gets bloodied up every other minute. It has the best and most realistic story line. It just rules over all other JB films. !!!!

I couldn't even stand to watch Pierce Brosnan, the first one he made looked to be a rip off of the crappy films Jackie Chan was making at the time. And every time I see him, Brosnan, I think of Remington Steele. This new bond seems to go back more toward the machoism of Connery, which in my opinion is a good thing. Though I havent seen Casino Royal, it is on my netflix list of movies to watch...if only I had the time. MC, I love You Only Live Twice. Without that movie Dr. Evil would not exist. I am suprised at the budget, checking out wikipedia the budget for Quantum of Solace is $230,000,000.

And I'm not impressed with this new guy "Daniel Craig" yet either. While Casino Royale was an enjoyable movie, it didn't "feel" like a Bond movie. And Goldfinger is THE best Bond film ever. Posts: 321 10/11/08 20:34:55	Roger Moore will always be my favourite Bond, even though he was getting a bit old for it. If he`d done it in his younger days(see The Saint) he`d have been much better. Live and Let Die would probably be my favourite.film. I`ve always liked how similar Dalton and Brosnan looked, that`s really how I imagine JB. Although Lazenby didn`t make a particularly good Bond, I thought that the music in On Her Majesty`s Secret Service was particularly good. The classic Bond theme seemed to have a lot more bass than in other films, which I liked. I don`t like how Bond gradually developed from a spy into some sort of indestructable crack shot commando, so I`m pleased that the new set of films are bringing it somewhat more back down to earth. ~RN

At the risk of starting a controversy I'd just like to point out that I count Die Another Day as the last of the Bond films and Casino Royale as the start of a spin off series of films, I don't recognise Daniel Craig as an official Bond.

I just couldn't stand how he would walk around with a smug face for the entirety of all the films, never getting dirty, bloody and really just removing James Bond more and more from reality and turning him into some sort of pseudo-superhero. Sean Connery was great though

Curious as to why you feel that way, about Craig and Casino Royale? Is the film Casino Royale based on the book (which I have read) or did they mess with it before filming it?

The book was actually very good and unlike the movie did not suck. Quantum was just the title of a short story, the script has nothing to do with what they wrote about though. Imperator so CR is more like what Ian Fleming had in mind when he wrote the original works? That makes me feel a bit better.

Posts: 2525 10/12/08 09:08:03	Connery was best, and Thunderball was always my favorite because of the underwater scuba battle. But Craig is quite good, and CR was terrific. Hope they keep it up. I think they've all pretty much stunk since Moore became Bond.
