Posts: 76 11/20/08 13:53:27	Tags : None okay when i first tried to play shogun total war i went through the tutorial and i got stuck at the lesson where you march troops up the hill. can you tell me what keys to press to do this part?.

Posts: 76 11/24/08 12:39:32	if noe understands what the question is here it's that i can't seem to get it right in the shogun total war tutorial when they tell you to march to the marker at the top of the hill every time i do it the instructor says you have not done what was asked of you.

Posts: 4078 11/24/08 20:13:14 Administrator	It's a bit hard to help if that's all the info we have, as we have no way of knowing where the problem is coming from. The best I can do is make sure you click the right mouse button and point in the right area.

Posts: 749 11/24/08 21:23:29	Actually, I'm pretty sure I know which part of the tutorial he's talking about. It's a bug, one which I've run into on occasion as well. If memory serves, I believe I had to reinstall the game to make the problem go away. I hate to say it, Brettgundam, but you might wind up having to do the same thing. Posts: 715 11/25/08 10:26:06	Ensure that the unit is selected and the left-click on the BOTTOM OF THE FLAG POLE. There is a difference between your troops not moving and your troops marching to the wrong place. Which is it?

Well I don't think I've ever had the bug pop up after I reinstalled it; that really should do the trick. I suppose it's possible you may have to reinstall a second time, but the bug nearly always disappears after the first reinstall. Also, as Sublime Porte pointed out, make sure you're clicking on the pole's base (where it actually goes into the ground). I realize you probably are already doing that, but it's best not to assume anything.

Question 1: When you click, did the troops move at all or did they just stay still and not move. Answer yes or no.

Posts: 9103 11/28/08 09:44:14 Administrator	I've checked the tutorial and the instructor did explicitly say left-click, but right-clicking merely adjusts the camera and does not trigger the you-are-doing-this-wrong complaint.
