Posts: 56 Mar 8 09 2:52 PM	Tags : None When I first started Empire it wouldn't do better than Medium Graphics. I have a 9800 GTX+ 512MB card so didn't understand why only medium settings had playble framerates. The problem was I had the graphics card set to override the in-game settings (was for a different game to enable AA). Once I set the graphics card to "Enhance the Application Settings" I could go Ultra on Units, Ships, Particles, Water, Sky, textures, 4XAA, 8X Anisotropic and keep decent FPS. cheers! Edit: to be precise I have AA set to "Enhance the Application Setting" and Anisotropic Filtering set to "Application-controlled". Edited 1 time by LIGHTFO0T Mar 8 09 3:09 PM.

Posts: 56 Mar 8 09 8:37 PM	Once you get to Manage 3-D settings, click on Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering and a dropdown box of possible settings appears. Not sure if this affects Radeons. I guess you could fiddle with the settings and see.

Posts: 1034 Mar 9 09 12:14 PM	trust my pc to be stroppy. i cant get empire to stay on the list/on those settings, i add it to the listmake the changes, click apply and then quit. and as soon as i do that they revert to normal, so when i open it they back to the default ones. what am i doing wrong ?!?!
