How Do I get a Knight Order to build a Chapter house in my settlement? |

Title says it all, I think it involves training knights and buildings for/that train knights. But I don't what exactly you have to do.

I think you need to hold Jerusalem. I always get it after a crusade is finished and late in the game.

The triggers for both Knight Orders:
Various Knight's Chapter Houses General joins crusade: +25 agent General abandons crusade: -25 agent Recruit Specialist Knight: +10 settlement, +1 faction (knight type tied to guild type) Governor Chivalry >4: +5 settlement St. John's guild get a +10 settlement, +1 faction bonus when the settlement has Muslim neighbours St. John's guild get a +10 agent bonus when you declare war on a muslim faction. Teutonic guild gets a +10 settlement, +1 faction bonus when the settlement has Muslim neighbours And: Guild: 100 points Masters Guild: 250 points Guild HQ: 500 points So basically just have a neighbour which is a muslim, and you'll get yourself a guild... |

Interesting, because I got a Templar guild in turn 20 (I think) in my current Polish campaign. In Krakow (of all places), which is a town.
Admittedly, I had just sent a general on crusade to Jerusalem, but Jerusalem was still rebel. Other than that, I'd been expanding eastward into pagan (but still rebel) territory. i'm wondering whether it could be because I'm running the retrofit and GUA mods, because otherwise I'm not sure how I got the requisite 100 points. |

So for generals on crusade, is it +25 points per turn that they're in the Crusade?
I've always had trouble getting Knights of Santiago for Spain/Portugal, no matter what I do. Gillyfish.gatheringofange, you probably got your Templar Chapterhouse where you did because of a very chivalrous governor? At least according to the criteria posted above, which would give you the offer at exactly turn 20 of that chivalrous general staying in the settlement. |

No its 25 points for each general that joins a crusade not 25 points per turn..

You could well be right, Frank Dale. My King has basically sat there and he has a high chivalry rating.
I didn't spot that, so thank you. |
