Posts: 147 Jun 22 09 5:51 PM	Tags : None is it steam or is it me? i keep being in game this afternoon (with patch 1.3) and steam disconnects from network and says to restart it. I try to but i get the error another steam application is running, but I cannot find another steam application to shut down. any one know a way to fix this? Or should this be in the technical forum?

Posts: 4106 Jun 22 09 8:42 PM Administrator	errr I'm not too sure...moved to the tech support forum. Look through task manager and end any processes that might have to do with Steam. That might shut it down. I'm guessing shutting down the computer doesn't do anything...

Posts: 164 Jun 23 09 3:59 PM	I'm having the same problem (I think). I clicked Launch, it says 'Preparing to launch Empire', then after a few seconds I get a popup that says 'Another instance of Empire: Total War is running. Please close that instance before opening another'. FYI, I am away from home and trying to play on my laptop, the game is also installed on my desktop at home. My first thought was that my little brother was playing the game at home and I would just have to try again later, but that was 8hrs ago and it still says the same thing. There is no way he was playing(and still playing) for 8hrs!
