At a point in my campaign, I got the following error message pop-up, which can't be got rid of :-(
"attempted to get id type for Invalid culture type 16"
I think it has something to do with the People of Novgorod, as when the error pops up the game seemed to be dealing with an on-going crusade I had against them... I am playing Italians and use MTW VI v2.01 (no cheats, hacks, mods or otherwise altered files).
It seems I have a residual unit of 4 Knights Hospitaler from another failed Crusade (Rhodes to Novgorod) - if I try to join them to another army, it complains about "too many units" even tho it's not the case. If I disband these 4 knights, MTW crashes to desktop. Interestingly, the on-going Crusade mentioned above also has only 4 Knights Hospitaler left and is about to be disbanded automatically, the act of which seems to trigger the error message. If I press Enter many times (the error msg keeps coming back) I can eventually accept the notification of the failed Crusade. However, MTW then crashes to the desktop.
Anyone got any ideas?
Update - well, I managed to get round the problem by right-clicking on the crusade and disbanding the remaining unit of 4 knights, before they were auto-disbanded. For some reason, the residual 4 knights from the previous failed crusade were labelled as mercenaries at the next turn!
Aargh, but it's coming back at irregular intervals, generally crashing the game :-(
