Posts: 1088 04/23/07 08:36:49	Tags : gold Hi all, I had the original MTW with VI and things went well. My girlfriend installed GTA: San Andreas and screwed up the resolution and now everything is stretched. Anyway I purchased the TW collection and uninstalled MTW, but now it won't let me install the Gold Edition as I have a 'previous version of MTW'. I removed any folders and can't figure out what is remaining. Any suggestions apreciated.

Posts: 377 04/23/07 12:55:09	Pop in your old MTW disc and explore it to get to the setup, and use the Remove option, that should get rid of all registry fragments and etc. If not, I dunno.

Posts: 730 04/25/07 17:28:17	Use the Run command to open the Registry. Find:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Click the + sign next to it. Now find: SOFTWARE Click the + sign next to that. Scroll down the list till you find a folder called Total War Right Click on it. Choose delete. Then Yes when it asks you if you want to delete it. That should remove your old Total War version and you ll be able to install Gold.
