Posts: 4 07/25/07 11:50:13	Tags : battle, battlemap One of the things I loved in RTW was the 'view settlement on battle map' option. Although the graphics were primitive (due to scale: it could hardly be sim city!) I found it very addictive to check on the progress of your settlement whenever various upgrades were added. I was really looking forward to this in MTWII, especially with its superior city graphics and the inclusion of my home country; Scotland. However I cannot find this option anywhere! Have they removed it, and if so does anyone know why? It cannot be performance related as surely if the higher detailed cities can be rendered during large scale battles then why not just to browse? I'm really hoping I've just missed something here but if they have removed this option, shame on you CA!

Posts: 52 07/25/07 13:50:31	I asked that same question when the game was only a few days old, you can always hope that they will put it in with a patch. You should ask and maybe they will listen to you. I think that being able to see the settlement give the player a better understanding of the city and makes the game more enjoyable to play. As computers become more complex maybe we will have more city interaction with M3TW. This game has lots of potential for development and any part a person doesn't like they can AI like I do with small 'nuissance' battles (1300 Vs. 125). I thought browsing the city was very interesting and entertaining.

Posts: 4 07/30/07 11:49:31	Hopefully it's something they will add in the future, or perhaps someone will design a mod. Good to know that others also enjoyed this option. The potential is exciting, especially as future releases of the game become more and more complex. As a player I look forward to seeing a bigger variety of historically accurate buildings. Sort of like a medieval town planning element for uber geeks like myself!
