To play STW:MI/WE online you must register. Here is

The MI/WE server is shut down, but you can still
play it online using the old shogun server.
"Konnichiwa, Open internet.cfg in the stw we/mi directory, and change Code Sample ChatserverPort = 8794 to ChatserverPort = 8793 use STW nick and password to login with STW WE/MI and play STW WE/MI in the STW foyer. " Courtesy of Tosa Inu. You will also need an old shogun cd-key. I think it's going pretty cheap nowadays, if you buy it you can play the original online as well as the expansion. Heres where you need to register. If you have an EA account already I think you just use the first link to log in, then hit continue and you will be taken to a place where you can create an old shogun username/password. You then login with THAT username and password, not your MI one. |

with the MI/WE area of the server, apparently all
versions run of same server. So if STW server is up
theoretically MI should be also. Therefore this is just a
fault thing at present.:p
Good News! The main server is still running!theres a problem with the MI part of it,but now EA know of the fault that can be remedied.The old server (stw)still works which i believe is part of the same thing,theres a way to play MI on the old server,see Tosas post in the org sword dojo. GaiJin is happy again!! |

Does anyone still lay online shogun? everytime I go
in to the EAplay server there's noone there and I'm

It's an extremely small crowd who still play
original shogun...you would have to contact them and set
up a time.

Ok I've done everything I'm supposed to do: I've
got the latest patch, I've signed up, created a profile
etc...
I try to play, but it won't log on. It connects and then it says "logging on" and nothing happens after that. Is the server up and running? Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Please help, totally bored with SP. btw, I play WE |

First off let me say I've written several emails to
tech support and had a conversation over the phone with
them as well. I still cannot connect to multiplayer and
basically they said that I was out of luck and seek help
from the community.
The message I get is "invalid cd key" when I try to log on. My cd key was verified so that isn't the problem. An EA tech told me that the message might have to do with the matching server being down. He also said that the server may not come back up. The man didn't know how you guys can be playing and basically forwarded me back here. Can anyone try and create a new account and tell me if they get the same error? Thanks a lot for any help in advance. |

Hmmm, it's June 2005 and I'm attempting to play
STW/WE online for the first time and having no luck. From
what I can tell the game is no longer supported
online.
If by some miracle it is, can anyone tell me how I register a character/family name/account and how I connect to a server where there are still people playing online, if there is one. I'm not great with computers so please include fool proof instructions if you can help. Really though, it looks like STW/WE is no longer supported in any way *sighs* Thanks for any help, dutchie xx |
