Retraining Mercenaries |

The title speaks for itself. I found it very annoying not being able to retrain mercenaries in previous games, especially ones with decent experience, I ended
up using them as the front line always, because I didn't see any reason to keep them for longer. What do you guys think?

I'd dwindle their numbers down on the frontlines OR just disband them in a province where I needed some population boost

Didn't they kinda "fixed" it in Kingdoms? Not the cleanest of fixes, but they did try, given the limitations of the previous engine. I'm sure
they'll improve on that in the new engine, probably even come up with a different system altogether.

Yes, when I remember correctely you can from MTW2 on retrain mercs, though I might be wrong as I have not played said game for ages.

Yes you can retrain them in MTW2 is your city is in an area where the same kind of merc unit can be hired.

And there has to be at least one unit of that type available to hire, so if you hire all the Mercenary Spearmen in a regino, then do battle that turn,
don't expect to be able to retrain them straight away.
