I know in some past Total War games sometimes special characters would show up during the campaign and in Kingdoms certain generals had special traits. I
clicked on a rebel army in england once and it was led by Robbin Of Loxley. In Empire will we see Fredrick the great or Napoleon or George Washington...that
would be sick.

I've read somewhere that, if you recruit an artillery battery from the island of Corsica around 1790 or so, there's a good chance you'll end up
with Napoleon fighting for you (as he was, of course, Corsican). I think one of the videos also had a brief image of an army on the campaign map commanded by
George Washington as well. And I hope that at least historical monarchs (Frederick and Peter the Great, Louis XIV-XVI, King George I-III, etc) appear, if not
historical generals too.
Come to think of it, I think John Churchill (known to most as the Duke of Marlborough and victor at Blenheim, Ramillies, and many other battles of the War of Spanish Succession) appeared at the start of a campaign game in command of a British army in another campaign map image in a video. |

Yeah. You're right, Marshal. Also, in a brand new article on IGN, they talked about how there will be special characters like Isaac Newton who can help
speed up research or even challenge others to duels of all things. I would so love to see Mr. Gravity/Planetary motion in a swordfight.

I believe that I've read somewhere that the CA confirmed that special characters do appear under the correct conditions.
