Posts: 4 03/10/09 07:08:23	Tags : None Remove this ad I know many or even most people can play x number of turns without problems but sooner or later ETW corrupts saves, crashes everytime on certain turn etc. So has anyone been able to complete one full grand campaign?

Posts: 30 03/10/09 07:52:30	I get lots of random crashes, enough to annoy but not enough to make me quit playing. My campaign is in like year 1780 so I'm fairly close to the end there, haven't encountered any permanent damage to any savegames yet.

Posts: 359 03/10/09 08:04:42	i went 40 years without crashing. and it only stopped because i got bored of that campaign (marthas, normal difficuluty). PS. trade ship bug is the only confirmed bug to be fixed in the new patch this week. although its hinted their will be abunch of other fixes concerning crashes/ctds/save game stuff. hopefully they make AI turn time more efficient (so it doesn't take 2 minutes to complete a turn). im not playing the campaign until that is fixed.

I've got so bored with it I think I'll just play around a bit in the hope of getting some good naval battles and then try RTI. Otherwise I'll wait for patches. I'd return the game, but I think it's too late now.

Posts: 30 03/10/09 08:13:24	I too have completed a grand campaign, I played through as Great Britain, Definately encountered many bugs, though non game breaking for me.. I so hope CA release a patch that fixes whatever is causing some folks problems..

Posts: 4 03/10/09 09:01:56	Remove this ad I've done 3 campaigns, my longest lasting until 1783. The game has never crashed, bugged, frozen, skipped, or erred in any kind of way I can recall. When I see complaints about these so called errors I gloat a little inside.

Posts: 39 03/10/09 09:35:54	I have finished two campaigns, one with UP and one with France. Have 2 others (Marathas and Ottoman) past 1750. I have had the crash you get during a revolution, which I solved by just doing the battle again and that is it and only as the French. I dont understand these "campaign stopping" bugs, you can't get around it by loading a saved game and using a workaround?

Posts: 204 03/10/09 09:41:57	Prussia, Vh/Vh completed GC. Won the long campaign goals, was maybe 3rd on prestige, just couldn't knock France or Britain off the lead they got on me. Had a random crash but just 'continued campaign' and all was well, the quicksave at beginning of every turn saved my game. Had one tradeship bug where it wouldn't move or become a trade route and I think it's from separating a navy after you already placed it on the trade route, because I separated them before I put them on route and never had the problem again, would up just scuttling the ships that were bugged.

Posts: 108 03/10/09 09:44:03	I finished a full Ottoman game last night. I did end up with one other burnt campaign, but I coped out the save files so I'll pick it up after the patch. Save often. If something goes wrong, pull all your agents out of your cities, or create a random general. I've heard those tricks work on occassion.

Playing as great Britain, i'm in the year 1765, and all three of my recent saves load, but when i click on end turn, the game CTD after the final flag (pirates). I'm not going back to an earlier save unless this problem is sorted out. All those hours, to get my nation upto a great military level and for what.

Posts: 66 03/10/09 11:51:50	I have played 3 campaigns, On the first all save games corrupted after turn 39 On the second, the game crashes when the Hurons move on turn 55 On the third the game crashes when my 100th turn begins. Even going back 10 turns and replaying doesen't stop any of these bugs happening.

Posts: 80 03/10/09 11:58:21	Remove this ad I have have done 81 years for Britan (before update), 39 with Austria, Lithuania (41) then 15 for Russia (after update) which i was just playing a few mins ago. I honestly havnt had one crash or freeze. The only problem that was annoying was teh updating/downloading problem awhile ago ons team for empire. Other then that just the odd technical problem, but nothing game breaking for me. 13 hours ive logged into the game and no one crash or freeze. I must be lucky Im loving this game btw, 9.5/10 so far for me I hope the patch fixed the crashes or freeezing some people where having, as this game pwns and i hope more can enjoy it like i am with no crashes I am just PRAYING that i dont have any SAVE GAME issues like some are reporting.. so far so good though after 13+ hours.
