We have introduced a tougher test cycle to ensure the release goes as smoothly as possible and are also trying to get a few more fixes into it. Posts: 212 03/20/09 09:07:44	Thanks for the info! Although many people probably would have wanted the update for this weekend, i think it is really good that you take the testing seriously. It is much better to release a throughly tested update, which fixes bugs (instead of creating new ones), even if it would take some extra time. Good weekend to you and the whole TW team also!

Posts: 707 03/20/09 09:23:29 Veles	Well I think more than anything, this next update must first and foremost fix the widespread game-breaking issues of CTD's when ending turns and corrupting save files. It's good to know you guys are working on it, really do hope it will fix these game-breaking issues though.

It's a shame CA couldn't have introduced this tougher testing cycle before the game was released. :) Seriously though, I welcome this forthcoming update. Empire is the first Total War game that I have purchased, and at present it's looking to be the last. I've never bought a game that crashes as much as Empire does, . When it works, Empire is great and I'm looking forward to being able to play it without fear of the game crashing at some randome turn number when I press the next turn button.
