Hi guys, this is my personal review of Empire Total War. Post comments of your reviews or improvements to mine. I am rating it on a Star-Scale of 1-10, and
each will be my personal opinion.
Ok first off is GAMEPLAY, this is based on the games performance and Graphics.
GAMEPLAY:
The Game takes awhile to download, but with any good game this is true. Load times are excrutiatingly slow, and this really frustrates me, since I have a very good computer with more than enough on all the system requirements. Saving often times are longer than they should be with a 30 second pause between the time you hit the button and "GAME SAVED". The Graphics are very good, and really make up for other categories. I love watching the armies march to each other in all their glory! Plus the Campaign map is more realistic the other games of the type.
Over all for the Gameplay category I gave it 6 stars of 10.
Second is Features.
FEATURES:
My first feature is Steam! I love Steam, it allows you to have friends, have a cool pick and join "most" multiplayer matches (Steam Account name, Emperor Ross). Plus Steam gives you patches to improve things! In my Special Forces Edition, I also get some other things, the art-book was O.K., my map was nice, resource chart helpful, and my special units AWESOME!
Features got 9 stars of 10!
Third is Campaigns.
CAMPAIGNS
The Campaigns are wonderful! The Map is cleaner, no FOW, and it has the basic Americas, trade theaters, and India! Cities are easier to upgrade than in earlier TW Games. Towns provide a less city centralized game, witch I love. Diplomacy is much better and more realistic. Intercept zones provide a use for the navy! And, technology makes things more realistic. Trade routes are fun to. The only problem is the few glitches not yet worked out.
For Campaigns I gave 9 stars of 10!
Fourth is Factions
FACTIONS:
This was really disapppointing. You can not play any Minor factions, nor the Mughals without the download of more programs (I did this the other day. . . ). you can not even play them in Custom battles. I do give them credit that the factions they have are very nice with unique troops and buildings. But another down-fall, their aren't enough faction missions either. Such as maybe a Similar the Kalmar Union mission as Prussia were you get the Imperial German flag.
For Factions I gave 6.5 stars of 10
Fifth is Multiplayer
MULTIPLAYER
The Multiplayer is really good! Fun large scale battles and the maps make it a killer online experience! The only bad part is the slow loads. . .
I give it 8 of 10 stars.
Sixth is Battles
BATTLES:
I love the battles! Great Graphics and great armies make battles tons of fun! Plus the edition of Naval Battles. The only problem is load times.
Battles get 7.5 stars of 10.
My final review gives this game 7.5 stars of 10.
I highly recommend this game, because it is still being improved, and it is just a wonderful buy!!!! =)
