Hello everyone. I search into the deepest forums to solve my problem, and I can't get nothing close. I'm sorry in advance to the moderators if I
didn't put my thread on the right section.
I'll be brief as possible : More a week ago, I ordered Medieval II Total War Gold Edition on Amazon ( Which I got it just today, and it's not a download ) from a shop on UK, I insert the disc in my drive, reconize it and the install screen appeared. As right now, no problems, just accept the license agreements, select features to install and clicked install. It's all goes well until then, just about the end of the installation, the progress stuck in the end for at least five minutes, and a window popped in my face telling me a "Feature transfert error" and below it, mentionned "D:\m2tw\Disk2\Data3.cab" and shortly after this, that phrase :
"Medieval II Total War:Gold has failed to install Medieval II: Total War. Aborting Installation"
The installation quits itself and made me go back to the installation screen.
I really don't understand. My PC can run the game, no problem ( AMD Athlon 2.1 Ghz, 2 gig Ram, nVidia graphic card 9600 XT 128 ram ), just to be sure, I've tried to install it three times, and gave me the same result.
So here I am with a game that I cannot install and clueless to what to do. The theory that my game in unavailable is not plausible, because the CD-key is working, even after three times I failed to install. Couldn't be a drive problem, because I do have a DVD drive, and was able to run the dvd flawless.
The worst of it, you know what it is ? A month ago, I downloaded the demo and it worked like a charm. I was able to run the demo perfectly. Why can't I install the retail version ? What's going on ?
So I'm very confused. And tired, and desesperated to play this game so great ( What I've played so far with the demo ). What should I do ?
Thank you in advance.
