I have the German version of Medieval Total War II, I have patched it to 1.3, it has always crashed randomly at the cutscene events, I have managed to play my
way through several games in the past year since I got it, but Im fed up with the bug, how do I fix it?
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, Dell Laptop with NVIDIA Geforce GO 7900 GS, Driver is up to date.
I attempted to just edit out the cutscenes by editing the medieval2.preference.cfg, I have attempted the following:
1. [video]
widescreen=0
assassination_movies = 0
infiltration_movies = 0
sabotage_movies = 0
event_movies = 0
That did not work
2. From the FAQ http://shoguntotalwar.yuk...amp-Game.html#reply-7314
I attempted
[game]
event_cutscenes = 0
That also did not work.
Is this a problem of the language of my game? I would assume that is not the case, as the .cfg would likely be programmed in English no matter what language it was ported to.
Also to help troubleshoot the issue .. all that the .cfg file had in it before I attempted to change it was the following:
[video]
widescreen=0
[game]
allusers=1
That was it.
Thanks for any help .. I would actually love to be able to play the game without expecting it to crash pretty much all the time, I was never able to really play the game with user controlled battles because of this and yeah .. now I would like to.
