Posts: 5 07/03/09 18:58:45	Tags : crash, freeze, bugs, third turn, 3 turn I just found my Shogun ttw game from a few years ago and i really wanted to play it again, but for some reason the game freezes my computer after i hit end turn for the 3rd time. i have tried to see if it does it everytime and yes it does. i don't know what to do i can only play for 2 min before it freezes and the only way to get back to the computer desktop is to completely power off my computer then turn it back on. i have no idea what the problem is have the 1.12 patch and that did nothing to fix it. could anybody please tell me whats wrong? i really want to relive a classic computer game from my youth. thanks for the help!

Posts: 5 07/04/09 11:04:17	i'm using a 5 year old dell running windows xp with a 2 gig ram thats all i really know about my computer, the weird thing is, is that this game worked fine on my older computer but doesn't seem to work with this one. i've searched the forums for an answer and i'm still lost. the game freezes after my third turn everytime and the music is still playing but i can't acess the game or my desktop. i dont have nero on my computer

Posts: 4803 07/04/09 14:30:49 Tribune	Maybe you can find an answer among other similar threads here. I'm afraid I'm not well versed in this type of troubleshooting. Does your game crash when you enter the throne room, or does that work okay?

Posts: 5 07/04/09 19:45:27	no the throne room doesn't crash it, now i've upgraded to the war lord edition of the game and i can play it for about 45 min before it crashes any idea? i think its something to do with the audio codecs or something like that

Posts: 5 07/05/09 20:10:19	my game still freezes about 30 to 45 min in when its my enemies' turn so i decided to write down error message to see if that would help solve my problem, here it is --- application - shogunw.exe apversion - 1.0.0.1 mod name - aac_parser.ax mod ver. 1.1.0.0 i don't know what any of this means but i think the aac_parser.ax thing is the problem Last Edited By: blinkexist 07/05/09 20:14:17. Posts: 5 07/06/09 07:30:03	^ sorry i forgot to say i upgraded to War Lord Edition instead of the original version to see if it made a difference (it did my playtime went from 10 min to 40ish)
