Having trouble recruiting these guys. Ive researched the western doctrine, as well as upgraded my barracks yet all I can recruit are the standard line units (Iraelys? sp?) Any ideas if I'm missing something, or is this some kind of a bug. I've recruited them in a different GC without any problems.

Do you have light infantry dock train?

Though you should be able to get line Nizam-I Cedit guys. I have no problems recruiting them.

Are you sure you have your Barracks upgraded to the sufficient level?

I have my barracks upgraded to the third tier, drill school I believe, which is what level I had it at on my previous games where I recruited them.

@GSC I can't even recruit the regular Nizam-I Cedit line infantry.

I don't think you can recruit them on 3rd lvl barracks, you need better.
