Posts: 1 07/16/09 16:47:44	Tags : france, bug, map, austria, territory, hole Why is there a territory in the Europe theater between Austria and France thats not used? theres no cities or anything whats the point couldnt they have just put it in with another territory or something instead of just leaving a hole in the map?

Switzerland was at this time a confederation of the canton's, not so close united as today, but totally independent and no where any part of Austria or so. Switzerland and it's cantons were in no war of this age where ETW plays involved, until Napolen Bonaparte invaded Switzerland. On the other hand Switzerland delivers many mercenaries to most europeam countries of this age, f.e. the swiss guard in France. The reason why it is only an unplayable territory is simple: There was was one faction too much for the round change and CA decided to delete switzerland as faction ... insteed of the very important faction like Daghestan in the caucasian area... There were also other factions which were cancelled at least. For example was Brandenburg earlier splitted in 2 provinces: Brnadenburg and Mecklenburg .... Mecklenburg was also a faction in the game, but was then deleted.

Posts: 12 07/17/09 19:30:49	On the map, it doesn't really look like you could squeeze much into the hole. It's just mountains and forest. You could plop a fort down on it and declare it as Switzerland though! :D
