The major changes include: Empire: Total War Fixed a bug which which occasionally allowed factions who were not allied to be invited to join a war Improved campaign map performance Republics will no longer dispute a claim to a throne via a war of succession Fixed a crash when pathfinding for embarking/disembarking Fixed situation where balance-of-power bar on battle screen was not considering the correct set of reinforcements Made the decision of which third-party factions can be involved in a campaign battle slightly fairer Interceptions are no longer suppressed when blockading a port Fixed rare crash after naval battles Fixed rare crash caused by successful revolutionary armies containing units that were not permitted for the resulting government type Fixed crash in AI logic structures Reduced AI army clustering Improved AI invasion troop movement Various light infantry behaviour fixes Naval and Land unit balancing General AI improvements

If one goes to the "View Updates" section on the ETW Steam right-click menu, one reads the following: Also released today for sale separately is the Special Forces Units & Bonus Content DLC, which includes the six units from the Special Forces Edition of Empire: Total War, plus three additional units previously unavailable for sale, including Death's Head Hussars, The USS Constitution and the Dahomey Amazons. Now, are you expecting everyone that already owns the Special Forces Edition to buy the new DLC to get the 2 or three extra units!? For 1,99€?! I am refering to the ones that already own the Death's Head Hussars or The USS Constitution or the Dahomey Amazons. The units that are still missing in the game. Right so all I have to do is trash all the hard work I've done over the past several months !!! This is just unacceptable. If you(CA) via STEAM are going to force us to download patches then they should work with 99.9% of users and should not compromise the players campaign! Lots of people, including me, who didnt buy the SF edition have been asking for the SF edition as a DLC and they listen, thanks CA! So, if they wouldnt release SF people would rant about that. And if they do release it, people rant for that reason. Cant be easy being CA...

Posts: 1 10/05/09 11:42:03	I pre-purchased the Special Forces pack to get the extra none-purchasable unit, now I either going to have to pay extra (again) to get 2 new units and 7 I have already paid for or do without, this isn't a good way of rewarding people who had the good faith of pre-ordering the special edition. Can't you just update all copies of the Special Forces pack to have the 3 extra untis for free, as most will prob only need 2 (I personally went for the Death's Head Hussars, but I would like to try the USS Constitution and the Amazons). Added to this it seems Steam won't let me purchase the pack anyway as it picks up that I already own it (although minus those 2 units stated). Would it really cost you that much to give away those 3 untis to those with the Special Forces edition, as that is essentially what you're doing anyway? Please :D

Not only can you"upgrade" now for £1.99, those of us who already have the special edition version have to pull out another couple of quid to get missing _two_ units (SF edition let you pick _one_ of death head hussar, uss constitution or amazons). Basically I've already paid a tenner more than you and now I have to pay another two quid just to get to the same full pack as you! Come on CA, give those extra units to people who already own the SF edition.
