A good idea isn't actually a good idea if it doesn't work in the actual world.
I haven't had too many technical issues with Empire, except for;
- Corrupted saves
- Random Crashing
- Script Errors that cause CTD's.
(These were before the patches.)
My problems with Empire are;
- Complete lack of a Challenge
- The AI is like playing against a drunk person not taking
anything seriously, on the campaign map, as well as the battles.
- I personally have a problem with Napoleon Total War.
I highly doubt it will be any better than Empire, and thus
far my doubts have been correct about other matters in Empire.
- I haven't bought any DLC's, as the game itself isn't good,
and hasn't been good for me.
- The Multiplayer Campaign, or the lack of one.
I bought this game because I was finally going to get
the long awaited multiplayer for the Total War series.
Now it seems I have to buy Napoleon to get a proper multiplayer,
and that empire is only a complete beta.
- All the bugs Empire has that really brutally murder any mood playing the game.
I don't like paying for things I don't get, and unlike so many
people, I'm not one to repeat obvious mistakes.
I will not buy any more games from the makers of Empire: Total War.
I doubt talking makes any difference to them though, as money talks
seems to talk louder. I'm just wondering why not make a good game
that people would happily buy, and give support for the gane properly
and not start on a new one and say,
"The quality of our games is directly impacted by how much money you give us.".
I don't like that either. To be expected to pay more to someone doing a job poorly
to maybe increase the chance of him doing a better job in a job he was supposed
to do well in the first place. That is a poor gamble with bad odds.
I for sure dont expect a job to be done poorly on a regular standard,
and if I get lucky the job promised will actually get done.
I would rather pay the man doing the job well, and giving him
more money for more jobs well done. As we all know, modders, the free working
slaves of the game industry, do 5 times the job with the "ready" made games.
So it is not about the cash flow, it is the lack of talent and interest of make anything worthwhile I would presume.
