A bit short - could've done with a lot more depth - it shaped up for some as well.
It's starting to sound like ca are unhappy with Sega? How are the commerical pressure from the publisher affecting Napoleon, do you think you won't be forced into an early release this time? |

With all due respect, but shouldnt the BAI be discussed first,as promissed, and surely under the circumstances, as a priority ?
The BAi is for hundreds of posters i know of,including myself,a big Battle-game breaker ! With Kind regards ! |

I'm liking the tone of these blogs, from ca acknowledging problems etc it can be quite safely assumed I feel that they are working on them and improving
for NTW.

Thanks for clering that up Sensei. And also thanks for posting the blog. I think we all know by now that you wanted more time to work on Empire, but as Mike
said Sega have their own plans too.
Now time for me to be cheeky and ask is the Multiplayer campaign still in the 'soon' pipleine? :) |

I think that units should have more opportunities on the battlefield and game will be more and more playable

Ahhh!! The sad state of affairs of the world we live in these days. "Sell, sell, sell!" What a much simpler time pre-20th century must have been.

World has always been "sell, sell, sell".
It is just that now we know exactly when development starts, when things are cut and what things are cut. It wasn't as obvious previously, but it was the same procedure. It is nice that CA are honest about this, but I would have hoped for something a little longer after this long silence. |

Ach, the commercial realities make me sad. Sadness brings about gloom. And through gloom the future seems discouraging.
Hope you guys and gals at CA are more jolly than me right now. As I'm enjoying the direction of TW in its path I wish you many more Ferraris in your car park...

So what is this? Is it a dull excuse for the unfinished E:TW project?
It was not my decision to sell out CA to SEGA, going for quick money and then writing in a blog how "real" this business is. Pff...there are other dev teams who are their own publishers and guess what...their products (i.e games) are mostly flawless or at least not unfinisehd/rushed. An there are companies in this worldwho manage to deliver a good, quality product AND make big money. Think about it...on the long run quality will pay out. Right now SEGA just squeezes CA until there's no juice left and then they will drop the fruit and move to the next. You will see |

This blog is useless. Did mr. Simpson get a dressing down after the last blog for actually saying something? It would seem so considering this incredibly tame
and bland blog.

The one slightly reassuring theme that keeps showing up in Mike's blogs is that they haven't deserted the "hardcore" fans. Why do the
hardcore fans feel so deserted then? And of course I have to add the obligatory, "Where are the mod tools? We've been making you money for
years." question.
If anyone wants a little more like on what Mike's talking about, it's worth noting that Sega's fiscal year ends March 31. They were looking a $250 million loss last year, bringing their 3 year total to $1 Billion. That's a lot of money. Clearly they pushed ETW out the door to improve the situation before they closed their books on FY2009. As a player, I hate them for it, but as an institutional investor, I might have different feelings. |

Thanks for posting! It's nice to know that we will be getting a little information here and there. For me, the BAI issue is a serious one that will
hopefully be addressed in due time, but the game has gotten a lot stronger with 1.4/1.5 and I am willing to be patient for information on this final missing
piece.
Thanks for your hard work, CA! |
