Where is this information coming from? As far as I know MPC is free... Alpha is done, beta is coming. I wouldn't be surprised if there'll not be any kind of RTM version.

As far as I'm concerned this is a totally free add-on for anyone who owns Empire Total War. The words Trial and Beta refer to the fact that this is the first time a proper Multi player campaign mode has been written into a Total War game so it is a trial product that if successful may be introduced as a full product in future Total War games and Beta because it may contain bugs that cause problems in the running of the campaign. As I said it is a free product so there are no set up fees (outside the initial purchase of Empire) and no monthly or ongoing charges of any kind (outside of your own personal internet costs), the product will be live and supported for as long as the rest of Empire's MP functions are so no it's not going to be withdrawn after a few months. Now like I say this is how I understand things to be so if you guys have seen something elsewhere that says different to what I have just said then please link me to it because I have no knowledge of that information.
